Do I need to be certified to dive in Cozumel?
Yes, to participate in our regular dive trips, you must have a valid scuba diving certification from a recognized agency (PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.). If you're not certified, we offer discover scuba experiences and full certification courses starting from beginner level.
What is the best time of year to dive in Cozumel?
Cozumel offers excellent diving year-round! Water temperature ranges from 78-84°F. December through April offers the calmest seas and best visibility (100-150 feet). Summer months (June-August) are warmer but may have occasional tropical weather. Many divers prefer November-March for optimal conditions.
How deep are the dive sites in Cozumel?
Cozumel offers dive sites for all levels. Shallow sites like Paradise Reef range from 30-50 feet, perfect for beginners. Intermediate sites like Palancar and Santa Rosa range from 50-80 feet. Advanced sites like Punta Sur can reach 100-135 feet. We match dive sites to your certification level and experience.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-3 days in advance during low season (May-November) and 5-7 days during peak season (December-April). For courses and private charters, book 1-2 weeks ahead. However, we often have same-day availability – contact us to check!
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours receive a 50% refund. Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. Weather cancellations initiated by us receive full refund or reschedule option. We understand plans change – contact us to discuss your situation.

Is dive equipment included in the price?
Yes! All standard dive equipment is included: BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel, weights, and tank. We provide high-quality, well-maintained equipment from brands like Scubapro and Aqualung. If you prefer to use your own gear, a $10 discount applies. Dive computers available for $10 additional.

What should I bring on the dive boat?
Bring: towel, sunscreen (reef-safe only), sunglasses, hat, camera, extra layer for surface intervals, any personal medications, and your certification card. We provide water and snacks. Optional: underwater camera, tip money for crew, motion sickness medication if needed.

What safety measures do you have in place?
Safety is our top priority. All guides are PADI-certified professionals. Every boat carries emergency oxygen, first aid kits, VHF radio, GPS, and safety equipment. We maintain a 6:1 diver-to-guide ratio maximum. All equipment is regularly serviced. We provide thorough dive briefings and monitor weather conditions closely. Hyperbaric chamber available on island.
How long does it take to get certified?
The PADI Open Water course takes 3 days with flexible scheduling. Day 1: Pool training and knowledge development (6-8 hours). Days 2-3: Four open water dives plus final knowledge review (full days). You can complete the theory online before arrival. Advanced Open Water takes 2 days with five adventure dives.

Where do I meet for the dive trip?
Our dive shop is located at Av. Rafael E. Melgar 123 in downtown Cozumel, easily accessible from hotels and the cruise port. We can arrange hotel pickup for groups of 4+ divers. The shop opens at 7:00 AM. Detailed meeting instructions are sent via email after booking. Free parking available nearby.
